Ok I'm calling it done, :-D my entry to Torchlight II armor set design, its pretty simple, but I prefer this better then then stereotypical overly complicated, mostly un-logical, and exaggeratedly detail that flashes and passes by just too quickly. Fingers crossed.

OK, this is another competition that I joined. doing an armor set design, not really good at it, but too good at doing what I want. lol. I can see that many people who entered this competition are going for the "sophistication" style, but I think I'll just go with my "as usual minimal" style, staying in my comfort zone...... come to think of it, I don't do "cute" that much :-P, well doesn't means I can't do it. Haha.

Oh, before I forgot, its for Torchlight II armor design competition. this set is call Black Jack, more detail coming soon :-)

Itch

I quid my job and fine my self enjoying my holidaysssssssssss, planing to get my new job after Chinese new year. so to ease my itch I completed my last painting. Still looking forward for my next work though. :-P

There is an itch that keep bugging me, after so long not painting (in photoshop), I need to get it over with, then pencil in my hand, inked and phone shot to go, (scanners out of my reach), then the itch is turn off, on a bad way, my laptop keeps dying on an unsaved occasion, turns me of my itch but almost turn me mad!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, working aboard isn't actually "fun" for me (in Philipine), boring most of the time,I even lost loads of time to draw for pleasure.

But every now and then I got this idea, a story to tell, but I'm a greedy person, I got these ideas for my own comic, and this is one of them, going on Manga style (always wanted to do that). But then I can't shake of the ink part, which I also loves deeply.

Heres a few practise I worked on last night. not perfect but its getting close to what I want, mainly influanced by Tsutomu Nihei (manga artist for BLAME!, ABARA, Biomega,etc), and Adi Granov (comic artist worked on Ironman Extremist, professional cover artist for Marvel.)

I miss my scanner so much, I used my hand-phone to snap shot these.

I hope I have enough patient to complete it before another idea came over it.

working on my "android" for android, don't really know why I do this, but its kindda fun using sketchup to make my very first 3D model, not profesional, but tones of fun. I had my podium plug-in installed, be testing it soon. and photoshop some effect on it. hehe. if any one like to play with my model, i'll be happy to post it on 3d warehouse.

OK, yesterday is the retirement for MR Yap, AKA Chong goh to me and my fellow colleague, and i made a card of every one, well with most of the editorial board actually. every one is "cartoonised" . Hehe, all are cute, all are slim, except ofcause the obvious fat person, no offend but i think he look better that way, (same way) :p

I just bough my Bamboo fun unit(last January). Finally got my taste on the "legendary" tools. well it is just like it's name, FUN. love the equipmet. not so good at it at first. but well, i'm woking on some personal project. :)hope u like it.

This is actually an earlier work I did for pass time. The title is Nalakuvara, a god from the Buddhism legend. Later it's converted to Taoism in China, known as Na Zha (哪吒). The stories portrayed him as child, that he is able to multiply his limps, and head as well, to match his opponent. He was always told to be stepping on two wheels of flame that enables him to travel very fast.

Finally I have finish my Comic Con entry, now its time for some rest. Hehe

I have a problem with the composision actually, i think the character din't shine much here. But then I don't know what can I do, I tried corping the picture, but then I loose too much of the character, not what the judges would want. so I end up here. :P

The progress sheet is actually a sucess to me, almost exactly what I want, well, I wanted to tune the color to more blue, but that would alter the actuall color in the progress work.

I don't rally like this sheet, it kindda din't blend with the other two, but if stand alone, its kindda nice too. :P still I manage to make it as closely to the other two as posible. :P

Well turns out to be a losing entry. I like the color, I like the concept, I like the process, and the progress, guess thats what counts.

The is my entry in "Steampunk pets" for GameArtisan.Org mini competition. It wasn't exactcy steampunk enought, but sure serve as a loyal side kick. Anyhow, I enjoy doing the fur part. It was rearrly and "achivement". Much joy there is.

Dominance War IV

To begin with, my first post will be about my last competition over the internet. Dominance War IV, it is one of the largest competition, hosted by GameArtisan.Org, and its been around for quite some times, (as you can see, its the forth).

This is my entry for the competition. It's a cyborg for the machine race. All comments and critics are welcome.

At the beginning of the competition, I was Planing to go on a demon class character, a "centaurist" form with a Cerberus lower half body. But then the concept seems to be "too common". Quite repetitive I would say.

AT the later state, I decided to change my concept and do a cyborg instead. It's a bit rush, but I think I manage to pull it out on a good way.

The host request a landscape oriented layout, but I much preferred the portrait layout.
